The goal of this trip is to make a pilgrimage around Mt. Kailash Tour and explore Everest Base Camp from North Side. Mount Kailash Tour stands at 6638 meters from sea level in a remote southern western part of Tibet and is the most sacred place for Hinduism and Buddhism in the world, and because of being Holy Mountain; no one has made attempt to climb on this peak.
Besides a holy tour around Mount Kailash Tour and an excursion of Mansarovar Lake; the package offers a trek to Everest North Face Base Camp, guided tours to UNESCO's heritage sites - imperial palaces, shrines, temples, and monasteries- wonderful panoramic views of the Himalayas, alpine lakes, meadows, valleys, traditional villages, yak pastures and terrain, nomad's land and many other enthralling sights of Nepal and Tibet.
Parikrama Treks & Expeditions staff will meet you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel followed by a quick briefing and collection of passports for Tibet Permit & Visa final application process.
Visit the temple of Pashupatinath, one of the biggest Hindu Temple. After paying homage to the lord Pashupati, we will explore Kathmandu city including Budhanolkantha, famous for its large idol of Lord Vishnu laying on the bed of snakes in the water.
From this day we will start ride to Kailash and Everest Base Camp. Early morning drive to Rasuwa Gadi, the drive will take about 7 – 8 hours. Drives offer a view of terraced fields, rivers, and rustic villages of Nepal before we enter the Langtang National Park Area. Upon reaching Rauswagadi we will have a night stay. The guide will collect the passport for tomorrow's Nepal Tibet Border Crossing.
Early morning we will enjoy breakfast while the guide will make all the necessary paperwork. We will have the entry to Nepal Tibet border and get checked before entering Tibet, China. We take a short ride to the first city near Nepal - Tibet border. Later we will take a short hike around the area to get used to the high elevation.
Today we drive approx 169 km, 6 to 7 hours to Saga. It is driving via high passes with panoramic Mountain View On the way we stop at a huge lake called Peiku Tso crossing high pass.
From Saga, we set out across the plains to Manasarovar located just 30km south of Mt Kailash. The lake is separated from another lake, Rakshas Tal, the myth has it here Ravana prayed and had the audience with Shiva.
After taking a holy bath and morning Puja, we will take you to Parikrama of Mansarovar lake by Land Cruiser and proceed to Darchen. Stay at Guest House.
Drive about 8 km to Tarboche, the starting point for Kora. Then trek to Derphuk followed by 55km trek around Mt.Kailash. Those who do not want wish to trek around Kailash can go back to Mansarovar / Darchen and wait for the Kora group to return.
We will again proceed to Drolma Chu Valley, heading up towards a high pass, the Drolma La (5640m). It’s a tough climb to the summit which is festooned with prayer flags but from there it is all downhill to Zutul-Puk. Stay at the camp.
After completing Kora, we will go for a further 2 hrs trek. Then drive to Mansarovar via Darchen. Later we will ride all the way to Dongba.
Drive to Tingri after the panoramic view of the Himalayan range as you cross the Lalung la pass (5050m). Stay at the lodge.
Drive to Tsho La (4500m) and further to Rombuk monastery. Stroll around the monastery. Stay at hotel Rongbuk.
Hike up to Rongbuk Monastery and we will also enjoy the north view of Mount Everest and drive to Kerung.
Early in the morning proceeds to Kerung Border. Complete formality and enter Nepal. Drive further 6 to 7 hours to Kathmandu.
We will take you to the Kathmandu Airport to catch your flight back to your home. Our staff will take care of your safe and timely arrival at the Tribhuvan International Terminal and help you arrange your last-minute departure details. Tour ends.
