Peak climbing in Nepal is perhaps the most adventurous and challenging activities in the Himalayas. Nepal is a Himalayan country: there are more than 1310 peaks that are over 6000 meters. In fact eight out of 14 highest 8000m peaks are in Nepal. This includes the world’s highest Mt. Everest, the third highest Kanchenjunga, Annaurna, Dhaulagiri, Cho Oyu, Manaslu among others.

Mountaineering beginners can enjoy trekking with a combination of peak climbing mainly in Everest, Annapurna and Langtang regions. The most popular trekking peaks in Nepal are Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche East Peak, Lobuche west peak, Tawache peak, Kwangde peak, Cho la peak, Cholaste, peak & Pokalde Peak all in Everest region. Nayakanga and Yala are in Langtang region and Pisang, Singuchuli, Tharpu Chuli, Tent, Chulu east, Chulu west, Thorung, Thapa, Dhampus, Tilicho and Hunchuli in Annapurna region.
