Yolmo Meditation trail in Nepal is specially designed for the health conscious people who want to do the trek as well as spend time doing yoga and meditation in the holiest place of Helambu trekking region. It can also be taken as the hidden valley as Guru Padmasambhav and Tibet’s greatest yogi Milarepa have spent time in mediatation and blessed this valley. On this trail we will explore the historical monasteries, beautiful village, wonderful jungles and search for the hidden Tarmas or teaching that was left behind by Guru Padmasambhava for future generation to utilize for meditation and yoga.

Yolmo Meditation trail or Helambu Meditation trail is situated north of Kathmandu, close to Tibetan Border therefore share Tibetan Culture. Unknown to the world of trekkers and trekking map of Nepal, you will venture in the world of hospitable yolmolese and take your time out to do the meditation. In the past it was discovered by Tibetan Saint Rigzin Godem (1337-1408) and declared it as the place to live with happiness and practically to practice Buddhist Meditation. Therefore it represents the great historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the ancient Nyingma-pa (particularly Byangter-Lineage) and Kagyu-pa schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

The Helambu Trek begins from Sundarijal, with an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. After about an hour’s walk, we enter Shivapuri National Park. Continuing along the Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang, the trek ends at the Melamchi Bazaar in the Helambu region. Yolmo meditation trail is relatively low altitude trek where you will be offered with local home stay accommodation with a rear opportunity to experience off the beaten track with culturally diverse beautiful natural landscape. You will meet different indigenous people like Brahmins, Tamangs during your trek. Tough we will ne travelling in the low altitude we will have the excellent views of mountains that include Langtang, Annapurnas, Manaslu and even Everest on a clear day.

This exciting journey is full of time to relax and become immersed as best place to enjoy your mediation. If you are new with the yoga and meditation you will be introduced with the yoga session for 2 days before heading to the trek to enjoy you peaceful time meditating in Helambu region.
