Ours is an eight day
expedition
climbing through the forests and on above the tree line and on up to form our
high altitude camp at 4,100m (13,600 ft.). We establish this "High Camp" with a
view to our climbing to the knoll of Mardi Himal
5,588m (18,500 ft) from where there are the most amazing close-quarter views of
all.

01: |
Arrive Kathmandu at the
airport transfer to the hotel

02: |
Fly or drive to Pokhara.

Day
03: |
We wake to
the stunning view of Machhapuchhare (23,000 ft/6993 m) and the Annapurna Mountain ranges. Today we will
start following "Our Private Trail" leaving other tourists behind. We wont
be seeing any tourists for 6 days. The next days uphill we trek along the ridge which will
finally bring us in front of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna south. Today we enter a
beautiful forest of birch, rhododendrons, hemlock and pines. We camp in a small clearing
far from the main trekking trails. |

04: |
This day we trek
through the forest, climbing gradually. Every now and then we have a view of Machhapuchhare and the
Annapurnas. We can see the Mardi Khola river winding its way through the
valley thousands of feet below. We camp at 10,000 ft at "Low Camp", from where
we will have good view of Machhapuchhare.

Day
05: |
Just a
short climb and we are out of the forest. The ridge will take us to
our campsite at 12,000 ft. The sunset turns the hills and mountains
of the Himalaya pick, then red and finally purple before the stars
take over and we get ready for an early night. |

Day
06: |
Have a
early breakfast and we start trekking to reach our highest point of
the trek, if conditions are favorable, up to 15,000 /16,000 ft. In
the afternoon we return to our camp. If the weather is clear, the
view today will never be forgotten.

Day
07: |
After
breakfast we descend 7,000 ft mainly through forest, bush and
terraced fields, past the hillside village of Siding, down to Mardi Khola for a welcome swim and scrub up near our camp. |

08: |
Autiful walk through the
Mardi Khola valley via quiet settlements and over an interesting section of bridges. We
camp by the river near Mardi Pul |

Day
09: |
We drive back to Pokhara.

Day 10: |
Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
O/N Hotel.

Day 11: |
Depart for home way journey. |

Cost Includes:
8 days trekking, 3 nights accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara
in a 3 Star
hotel on bed & breakfast basis, full trekking crew, trekking gears, guide, cook, porters,
3 meals a day i.e.
breakfast, lunch and dinner, insurance for the Nepalese staff,
Entry Permit for Annapurna Conservation Area and necessary transportation.
Excludes:
Expenses of personal nature, personal gears, hard/soft
drinks,
flights
i.e. Kathmandu/Pokhara/Kathmandu,
