Testimonials
Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar Trek
This year, after last year I experienced with the same company the great annapurna trekk, I chose to be in different location...the Kumbu Valley.
What can I say, except for the weather the first five days, the rest was just perfect. My guide Indra was there at Lukla Airport to greeting me on arrival from Kathmandu, he did a great job through out the trek, his expertice is pair to none. (all guides of the Parikrama are very liable)
We went through the trek very well, all the days have been planned to make the climbing gradual and not dangerous for possible altitude sickness. At the end in Kala Pattar, fortunately the weather changed, and the mountains rised their imponent figures above us...Speachless!!
The whole experience has been great, organization has been, as usual, very well placed from the Parikrama Team they follow my request, for the trek experience, since the first E-mail we change. Company very reliablea and wellnone in the Kathmandu, highly reccomended if you decide to go and trek in Nepal.
Thank maxgolf71
Trip of a lifetime! Impeccable service, fantastic scenery!
If you're fit and looking for an adventure, I think a trek in Nepal with Parikrama is the best value for money you can get. My boyfriend and I signed up for the group trek, but it ended up being just the 2 of us on the trek. Everything went perfectly smoothly, even when it didn't! By that I mean the service by the tour director, guide, and porter were so impeccable, they took care of all uncontrollable mishaps before they really affected us. That's why I would suggest going with this company -- our guide, Indra, is very expereinced, and knows exactly how to handle every situation. He had friends at all the lodges we stayed at, so and we seemed to be treated especially well because of it.
I was picked up by the tour director in his private car at the airport in Kathmandu no problem, and brought to my hotel. I would recommend asking for a hotel in the tourist area of Thamel. We stayed about a 15 min walk from Thamel the first night but it would have been nice to be right there. (We stayed in Thamel the second night.)
We were supposed to trek to Everest Base Camp but the weather was so bad in Lukla that planes weren't flying there. We talked to our guide, Indra, about options and ended up switching our flight to trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) instead. It was a pretty major change in plans (it involved switching our flights, local porter, taxis, and accomodations) but Indra made it happen seamlessly. In the end, I'm glad we were "forced" to do ABC instead. I think the scenery and trek more generally was more to behold.
Throughout the 10-day trek, our porter carried our heavy bags seemingly effortlessly. He would get to the lodge before us, get our room, and leave our bags on our beds, and hand us the key when we arrived. Indra spoke English very well and patiently answered our questions along the way. He was very flexible with how our days of trekking went. If we were feeling especially energetic, we would go further and faster, and if we felt like having a easier, shorter day, he would accomodate that too. The food at the lodges was very good. I am vegetarian and most of the food was delicious vegetarian. My boyfriend said the buffalo steak is the best steak he's had though. All of our meals and non-alcoholic drinks were included, so Indra always took care of the bill behind the scenes.
We were trekking in Nepal so I wouldn't call the accomodations luxurious by any stretch, but the rooms and showers, and eating areas were always clean, and the toliets were usually clean. Indra was quick to address any of our questions and concerns whenever he could. He left us alone and gave us privacy, but as soon as we needed something, he appeared as if from nowhere!
We want to go back to do the Everest Bast Camp trek in a few years, maybe for our honeymoon. We'll definitely go with Parikrama and request Indra again. We felt so safe and comfortable with him. I know if something went wrong, he'd have our backs in a second! Happy trekking!

Everest Base Camp Trek Apr 20-May 3, 2015: Super Excellent! Dedication and Professionalism.
From the very start, it was clear that Kumar and Susma from Parikrama provide tremendous service. I had a lengthy email exchange with Parikrama prior to my trip, and every question was answered professionally and thoroughly and made me feel like I had booked with the best agency.
This was confirmed when my flight was delayed several hours and I finally arrived in Kathmandu after 1:00 in the morning, as they both waited patiently at the airport to pick me up and take me to my hotel.
My guide Indra - who has been with Parikrama for many years - was absolutely fantastic and attentive, helping me in so many ways even through the difficulties of the earthquake (which hit when we were on the trail almost at Everest Base Camp) and right through the surreal days following the earthquake on our return trek. I just cannot say enough about Indra's character, professionalism, devotion, and experience - despite all the calamity - and also the support and friendliness of our porter Kallam. Through many days of trekking, we developed a bond of friendship.
On my return to Kathmandu one week after the earthquake, I also got to experience first hand Kumar's and Susma's community spirit and generosity as they kindly allowed me to join them for a couple of days visiting the displaced people living in tents and joining with other volunteers to help dig out the back allies of Kathmandu. The hospitality and dedication shown me was amazing, and even more so given the hardship and loss that Kumar and his extended family faced because of the earthquake.
I was beyond impressed that they continued to host me so graciously from arrival to departure, and do not hesitate to endorse all the good people at Parikrama and their tour service.

Excellent Everest Base Camp Trek in March/April 2017
Our Everest base camp trek with Parikrama Treks & Expeditions was well organized from start to finish.
Already in the planning phase, which started more than half a year before our trek, the owner of the company Mr. Kumar Basnet was very helpful with all upcoming questions and always answered by email within 24 hours.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu we were welcomed by him and his daughter Sushma who brought us to our hotel where we first met our guide and had a short briefing.
During the trek itself we were accompanied by our experienced guide Indra and his brother Kamal who acted as our porter.
Both formed a perfect team, communicating well when it came to arranging for our baggage, meals, beverages and accommodation for the day and night.
Even though we had a pre-determined itinerary, it was no problem at all to change it spontaneously when we decided to cut two days off in order to make it up Kala Patthar in good weather with breathtaking views of the Everest range.
Also the fact that we arrived back in Lukla, the start and end point of our trek, earlier didn’t cause any problems.
Thanks to Indra we were put on the return flight to Kathmandu the next day.
Both Indra and Kamal are pleasant people who are professional in what they do and with whom you can have a good laugh.
Back to Kathmandu, we were greeted again by Mr. Basnet who made sure, that we enjoyed the rest of our stay in Kathmandu.
All in all, everything went very smoothly and we would definitely recommend Parikrama Treks & Expeditions if you plan to trek in Nepal.

Quite professionally planned Everest Base Camp Trek.
Thanks guys for planning a very reasonable budget trek of Everest Base Camp and providing needed logistics support in Kathmandu. Sushma was a great help for the local tour. Female travelers should give a try with her to explore the capital of Nepal.
